Looking through my photos I found this portrait I took a few years ago in Tunisia. I regret that I never got to know this gentlemanā€™s name, but he was the nicest guy and I still wear the sandals I bought from him.

Photography, and our understanding of it, has spread from a center; it has, by infusion, penetrated our consciousness. Like an organism, photography was born whole. It is in our progressive discovery of it that its history lies.

Do what you want. It is your art, after all. Me? Iā€™ll grow with it.

When drone strikes are reported by theĀ Bureau of Investigative JournalismĀ (which focuses on Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia but not Afghanistan), writer James Bridle tracks down the locations on Google Maps and then Instagrams the picture.Ā

Further evidence that our concepts and ideas of what photography is continues to evolve in new andĀ intriguingĀ ways.

This is in the running for favorite photos Iā€™ve ever taken. As we were quietly hanging out at the top of Borobudur, we heard a wave of giggles and fake camera sounds approaching. This crew came around the bend, and proceeded to take a ton of photos of us. Stopped and posed for a few for us as well and then continued on their merry way.
