In Praise of 70mm
A great deep dive into the nitty gritty details of 70mm, specifically some fascinating information about Michael Todd and his American Optical Company I haven’t heard before. He was involved in the development of Cinerama but at the American Optical company he developed the “Todd-AO Process” which only involved one lens and is what we have largely come to understand as the 70mm standard.
