WVA Vote Flipping Caught on Tape (via videothevote)

I’d like to see Apple given a large tax break in order to make a functioning voting machine for the United States. After 2012 rolls around, and we’re all voting for a black incumbent president with the iVote* Apple can go and sell the machines across the globe to all the other countries that want to be as cool as us.

*Patent Pending.

A new “installation” at the Tate Britian is made up of groups of runners sprinting through the neoclassical galleries. Work No. 850, which will continue at the museum until November 16, is a non-stop relay race back and forth through the museum, with each 15-second dash accompanied by a 15-second pause.

The original museum runners were the trio from Godard’s “Bande à Part” in 1964.

Some voters at a McCain-Palin rally in Ohio. They “don’t know” if Obama is a terrorist. Some say he is. Some say Palin has given more interviews than Obama. These people are clearly getting their information from a single source. One woman complains about Obama forming ACORN having only heard of it that day. These people are not mentally deficient, but they definitely are not thinking. Again, it is very important that you get out and vote.

Several past U.S. presidents had vegetable gardens on the White House lawn. Eleanor Roosevelt started a victory garden on the White House lawn in 1943, which encouraged millions to do the same in their own front yards. When WWII ended, home gardeners were producing 40 percent of the United States’ produce.Boing Boing

I Met The Walrus (via imetthewalrus)

I first saw this at a film festival a couple months ago. It’s fantastic. From YouTube:

“In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry has produced a film about it. Using the original interview recording as the soundtrack, director Josh Raskin has woven a visual narrative which tenderly romances Lennon’s every word in a cascading flood of multipronged animation. Raskin marries the terrifyingly genius pen work of James Braithwaite with masterful digital illustration by Alex Kurina, resulting in a spell-binding vessel for Lennon’s boundless wit, and timeless message.”
